Okay, this isn’t Dane. But I do have Dane on the brain since the manuscript (officially DANE, THE LORDS OF SATYR) is due to my editor soon.
Since I have no Dane cover yet, I’m celebrating one of my favorite satyr covers–NICHOLAS. My Kensington editor (Audrey) just told me it went into a 7th reprinting! A shout out to all you readers who helped make this happen! I couldn’t keep writing without you, so many many thanks to you all.
WHAT I’M DOING IN SEPTEMBER:
1. Revising Dane!
2. Paying attention to the husband I’ve neglected while working on Dane.
3. Attending Lora Leigh’s RAW: September 25-27, Huntington, WV

WHAT I’M DOING IN OCTOBER:
I’ll be at two other conferences in October and would love to meet any of you who’ll be in the neighborhood:
1. Moonlight and Magnolias, Georgia (near Atlanta)

I’ll be speaking on: Nailing the High Concept Book Hook, and I’ll be at the big booksigning.
2. Emerald City Writers Conference, Washington (near Seattle)

I hope to see some of you there! Please be sure to say hi.

by Maija P. · August 28th, 2009 at 5:01 amWow 7th printing. Big congrats. It’s a really a great book and series
by Danny · August 28th, 2009 at 11:12 amCONGRATULATIONS!!! Wow…that is amazing news. I love that cover, and the book is wonderful. It’s sitting right here on my “Keeper Shelf.”
Have a wonderful time at your conferences. All three of them are ones I’ve wanted to attend, but there just isn’t enough time–or money–to go to so many. I hope to see you at either RT or RWA next year.
by Kate Douglas · August 28th, 2009 at 11:25 amThanks, Maija!
You too, Danny. Nice to see you here!
Hey Kate! I appreciate it. Your Wolf Tales is on my Keeper Shelf, too! I’m hoping to make RWA in 2010. We’ll see how the budget goes. Hope to see you there.
by Elizabeth Amber · August 28th, 2009 at 4:19 pmCongrats on the 7th printing. I finally found copies in Memphis of Nicholas and Lyon, still have to pick up Raine’s book. Have read them all mind you, just didn’t own them at the time.
Saw you post on Shelli’s Blog yesterday so I sent you an email today to say hello.
Hope all is well in your world and if I haven’t told you before – you SUCK!!! I so want to go to Lora Leigh’s conference. I’d love to meet you and her. Delilah Devlin is going too (she’s from AR).
by Heather Brewer · August 28th, 2009 at 6:57 pmHeather! Thanks so much for the congrats, and I’m glad you found the satyr books in Memphis! Of course, Dane will be delivered to your door when it pubs because you won him on my yahoo newsletter!!!
I knocked on Lora Leigh’s door for 2 years and finally got an invite. I’m not sure what to expect–I think it’s a little different from other conferences. But I’m beyond excited that I’ll get to meet her and the other authors and readers who’re going. I’m bummed you won’t be there too! Maybe next year? I’m in NC, so WV isn’t all that far. I think I’m going to try to drive it. We’ll see.
