Congrats to the winners. You are gonna love Kate's books...um, make sure you have a fan, a tub of ice water, a lot of drinking water, several towels, etc to dry off the sweat that will start flowing as you read these. Some find other wonderful outlets too...LOL!! Happy reading everyone.

The responses on this blog were wonderful. They really struck a cord in me. Good luck in meeting those goals and making your dreams come true. Kate, you must have had a tough time choosing a winner, no wonder you ended with five.

Peace and love,
Paula R.

Mel K #23
Gabrielle J. #9
Lisa Guertin #6
Sasha White #3

Be sure and contact me asap so we can figure out what book you want (or stuffed wolf)

Everyone needs to keep dreaming. I am so glad that your dream came true. I just dream of someday owning my own house out in the country.

Good morning all--I'm getting ready to try replacing the wireless router (I do the computer stuff myself, even though it makes me nuts, because we're out in the boonies and it's hard to get people out to do it for us) so I may be offline for awhile...like probably most of the day!

Fedora, you realize that once you make room to store books, you have to go out and get MORE books. It's an addiction...hopefully, one without a cure.

Beth, I'm so sorry to hear that. You're among so many who have been hurt by this economy. I think the only ones who haven't suffered are the banking execs getting the huge bonuses! SO not right.

Cynthia, when I complain about deadlines, I can't help but think of the alternative--not having any! THAT would be a bad thing. Good luck to you!

And, to everyone else, the very best of luck in achieving your dreams. I read through all the comments again this morning and realize I've got a damned impressive group of people chiming in. Thank you all so much--will be choosing some winners tomorrow. Now I need to figure out how to replace the modem.

First I think I need more coffee...

Hi Kate. It's great to hear about everyone's dreams and goals. I think dreams give us hope. I have several dreams of my own, including making a success out of my jewelry designs. I do mostly beaded work, but I also love charms and chains, that sort of thing. I'm also hoping to return to college and get a degree in jewelry design. I also do stained glass, so maybe that as a business would be good too. I would also love to write more, but I know I wouldn't do well with those pesky deadlines, LOL. Still, I probably have enough poetry to fill a book...
If I win the contest, I'd like a copy of Sexy Beast 8 or DemonFire, whichever is available.

My most recent dream just ended. Owning my own crafts store. The economy (and local road construction that started in Aug. and still isn't done) got me.
I still have the other dream store to think about and work for. I'd love to be able to own a book store. We don't have a good one in town. Just one dinky used book store located in a portion of a building that also houses a church.
Dreams are important. Without them nobody would do anything new or important.

I'd love to win a book, but the only one of yours that I don't have yet is Wild Nights. If that is available as a prize the please enter me in the contest.

Kate, congrats on realizing some of your dreams! Some of my dreams have come true--a key one was to be a mom, and I'm truly blessed by my family. One that's in progress is to declutter the house and to redo some of the space to better store my huge book collection (the keepers and the TBR ;))--this is clearly going to take a while!

Wow...Internet problems have kept me offline all day, but what a treat to get back on and read all the terrific posts! I recognize so many of your names and I love reading about goal met and dreams still out there--so many of you have done such amazing things!

What's interesting is how some of you had dreams and made them come true, others had changes forced on them and took charge of their lives--a lot of you still have dreams and you're working toward making them reality. I am so impressed with every single comment. You have no idea how much your truly thoughtful answers mean to me.

I think it was Lisa who said if we give up on dreams, we give up on life. I agree--dreams keep us going, they give us a reason to get up every day, and they give our lives purpose.

Someone asked about a sequel to DemonFire--HellFire comes out in September, and so does Nocturnal, an anthology with a great story by Jacquelyn Frank and two other authors, as well as one in my DemonSlayers series called Crystal Dreams. (Apropos, right?

Krista, congratulations on the contract! I am absolutely thrilled for you, and that's exactly how I started, with ebooks. Best of luck with the release of your first book, and here's hoping it's only the first of many.

Nancy, I know about those milestone birthdays--my sixtieth was in January. I'm still trying to figure out how it got here so fast.

Cathy, I do hope you get that trip through Italy with your husband. Doug and I were able to go fifteen years ago when our daughter was stationed in Aviano in the Air Force. We only saw a small part of the country, but it was gorgeous.

Helene, as far as choosing wolves, I've just always thought they were beautiful animals and figured that if I was going to turn into something, I'd want to be a wolf or an eagle or possibly a panther--but wolves won because of the pack structure. it worked perfectly for my Chanku. I've done a lot of research for the series, and my husband and I have visited the International Wolf Center in Minnesota. You should see my "wolf info" library!

Thank you all for your comments. I'll be choosing winners on Sunday (if my Internet is okay!) and will announce the names here.
